From Garden To Table 2
From Garden To Table 2 is made from rowan wood (Mountain Ash) harvested from my back yard. As these trees do not grow very large it is made of many small, often curved, sticks . Instead of milling them straight I saved the contrasting sapwood by joining curved pieces for the top. This left gaps where the curves did not match.

From Garden To Table ●
From Garden to Table is a hall table made from a single ash tree from my yard. The logs were stored outside, uncut, to let the insects work on the surface under the bark. After a decade of drying it was milled into boards to make this table. The shape of the legs was dictated by the shape of the tree base and any bits of damage (like the nail hole) that occurred in the tree’s life were preserved.
