From Garden To Table

From Garden to Table is a hall table made from a single ash tree from my yard. The logs were stored outside, uncut, to let the insects work on the surface under the bark. After a decade of drying it was milled into boards to make this table. The shape of the legs was dictated by the shape of the tree base and any bits of damage (like the nail hole) that occurred in the tree’s life were preserved. Exhibited at The Saskatchewan Craft Council gallery as part of an exhibition called “From Scratch” in 2020
